Amelia Earhart mystery again rises to the surface

(CNN) -- Could searchrews be just a few hundred feet from solving a mystery that has riveted millions for 76 years?

Photos: Amelia Earhart: Pioneer of the sky

That's the question raised by tantalizing evidence published this week by teams trying to find out what happened to famed aviator Amelia Earhart, who vanished along with navigator Fred Noonan during a doomed attempt to fly around the world in 1937.

The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery raised the prospect of a big break in the case by publishing an image online. It showed something -- hard for the layman to size up -- on the ocean floor.

Grumpy Cat goes from strength to strength

She is already an internet sensation with a book deal – and now a movie star in the making too. Let's hope she has thanked her agent.

Age: 1.
Appearance: Take a wild guess.
OK, I'm picturing a cat. Yes.
But it looks – how can I put this? – almost disgruntled. There you go.
What a funny idea! Many people think so. And this is a real cat. Her name is Tardar Sauce (a misspelling of tartar sauce, which she was said to resemble), and she lives with the Bundesen family in Arizona. She looks grumpy because her mouth is slightly deformed by a genetic disorder.

T. Rex Terrorizes Bridal Party: Best Wedding Photograph Ever?

Conceived by Louisiana photographer Quinn Miller for his friend James Lowder's wedding to Katie Young at the Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana on Sunday, the image shows the terrified bridal party being chased by a massive T. Rex.

Miller tells Yahoo! Shine very few people at the wedding knew of his plan, but the bride and groom were both completely game. "After we took our formal pictures, we set up the shot. They [the wedding party] really sold it. They are what made it work."
He acknowledges that he has seen similar Jurassic-inspired pictures before, but he told io9.com that he thought he could could do a better job with the retouching: "I'm really picky about Photoshop."

Miller retouched and posted the photo on his Facebook page early Monday morning with the note "Things got really crazy at the Lowder wedding last night," and the image immediately went viral. He tells Yahoo! Shine has been shocked by all the attention. On Wednesday, he says he had doubled the 'likes' on his Facebook page, when the photo had received 800 'likes.' By Thursday morning, that number had more than quadrupled. One commenter, who attended the wedding, joked, "If you live in St. Francisville, only leave your house if necessary. Keep your eyes open." Another quipped, "Is that the mother-in-law?"

His remark drew quick reaction online, with some criticizing Levine and others defending his comment as a joke.

Amanda Bynes to Chrissy Teigen: "You are an old ugly model"

The model Chrissy Teigen, who had tweeted on Tuesday: "The fact that Amanda Bynes has any 'support' to retweet is really unsettling. Support people with mental illness, yes. But don't condone/enable scary and poor behavior."

Bynes, 27, didn't like those tweets very much and decided to respond in a tweet in which she calls Teigen an "old ugly model." Keep in mind Teigen is also 27.
Bynes wrote: "Ur not a pretty model compared to me. I signed to Ford models @ age 13. I don't look up to u beauty wise. I'm far prettier than u! I'm offended that you're saying I have a mental illness when I show no sign of it, but thankfully not one man that wants me wants you and you are an old ugly model compared to me! You look 45! You're not pretty so I'm not intimidated by you! I think you're jealous that you're just an ugly model whos career is uninspiring! I don't respect you! You're no beauty queen! I'm a beauty queen!"

Teigen, who's engaged to singer John Legend, responded: "Nope. Not going to indulge. Wish the best for her, truly." She added, "I never ask anything of you guys but please. I don't need defending and please stop writing her. It's not funny, it's sad."

Why Child Stars ‘Go Crazy,’ From the Perspective of Insider Mara Wilson

In light of Amanda Bynes's recent arrest, one former child star is speaking out about why child actors have a tendency to get into trouble later in life. You may remember Mara Wilson as the adorable 6-year-old who made your heart melt in "Mrs. Doubtfire." But after starring in movies as a kid, she stepped out of the limelight to attend New York University, a choice she made because she "knew [she] didn't want to be famous." In an article published Tuesday on Cracked.com, Mara writes of the early pitfalls of stardom, saying, "Not many child stars make it out of Hollywood alive or sane, and at any given time there are at least three former ones having very public breakdowns."

While performing in Copenhagen, Denmark, the singer touched the hands of her fans as she performed, but one fan took it a little too far.
During "Irreplaceable," the singer was slapped on the butt by one overly enthusiastic fan and Bey was not happy about it. "I will have you escorted out right now, alright?" she told the man in footage seen on YouTube.

Experts admit it is unlikely for Cleveland kidnapper to be given the death penalty

Ariel Castro appears in Cleveland Municipal court alongside defense attorney Kathleen DeMetz, right, in Cleveland on May 9th

It is highly unlikely that Ariel Castro will face the death penalty charge for kidnapping three women for almost a decade- but he may face life imprisonment under Ohio's strict fetal homicide laws.
Capital punishment experts explained that any attempt to bring death penalty charges against the former school bus driver face constitutional questions over the definition of a murder victim for the purposes of a death penalty case.

Contribution of technology to maths from 80s to 90s

Technology contributed many fields of studies over thee years. One of them is maths. Over the years technology has contributed a lot to maths. Mostly we can see that the computing is the technology which contributed maths.

Mathematicians used computers for many purposes. They used it to solve mathematical problems, prove theorems, to display graphical ideas, to use software programs relating maths and to teach. They used it from doing the simple calculations to proving very complicated theorems. The use of computers was encouraged when the theorems were hard and sometimes impossible to prove by mathematicians.

The first theorem proved using a computer was The Four Color Theorem. It was proved in 1976.After that in the 80s we can recognize several proofs using computers.

Mitchell Feigenbaum's universality conjecture in non-linear dynamics

This was Proven by O.E. Lanford using rigorous computer arithmetic .Oscar Eramus Lanford III (born January 6, 1940 in New York, United States) is an American mathematician working on mathematical physics and dynamical systems theory.

Robbins conjecture.

WilliamMcCuneproved the conjecture in 1996, using the automatedtheorem proverEQP.

Kepler conjecture.
Thomas_Callister_Halesproved the conjecture in 1998.

Those are the ways which computers contributed maths in 80s to 90s.Also we can recognize that there were little software programs which were used.

Also apart from computers calculators and electronic tools which were used to teach were contributions to maths from technology.
So as you can see technology has contributed maths in past , present and future a lot.

arrested-development-bluth-brothers.jpg

A megalomaniacal magician who makes a lot of huge mistakes. A hook-handed, shoulder-rubbing stay-at-home son who suffers from panic attacks. A well-intended, sensible yet slightly superior martyr/father who’s trying to keep his freaky family from falling apart. Together they represent the Bluth brothers, and though they don’t always see eye to eye, Gob (Will Arnett), Buster (Tony Hale), and Michael (Jason Bateman) are hermanos to the end. Now, their adventures begin anew as Arrested Development, the revered cult comedy that was cancelled by Fox in 2006, offers up 15 new episodes that will be released on Netflix tonight at the stroke of 3:01 am ET/12:01 a.m. PT. A comeback story for the digital ages? A second chance at comedy domination? A third thing? “I would call it ‘The Return of AD: Sweet Revenge; The Joke’s On Us,’” quips Arnett.
